Thanks! I would have guessed if there's something like that, it's on Codeberg.
Essentially, it feels like if you really want to avoid AI you have to install Ubuntu 22.04 or so and stick to whatever's in the repos there :(
I cannot tell you how many programs I am using are only safe at the moment because I am on Debian Stable. At least the hledger dev intentionally made a 2.0 version when they started using AI to make it easier to fork and/or use without AI; I do appreciate that.
@amin
Pretty soon I think it'll be unavoidable :(
Eh, well—I have started a dual boot where I have been experimenting with things over on Void Linux; that won't get me away from whatever the heck the kernel project is doing but it isn't a practical time commitment at this moment to find a BSD and Void has a pretty decently strong stance against AI. I'm also thinking I may start rolling a lot more of my own software than I historically have, starting with an SSG (after Deno sold to Cloudflare and was discontinued, meaning my SSG I specifically started using to get away from NodeJS will shortly be moving to NodeJS).
So yeah, not total avoidance but I will be reducing a lot of sources of instability, I think.
