#helix is really nice, I don't need to configure too much to be usable right away. Also keybindings are ergonomic enough that they don't hurt my hands.

Hi, I've been using #Colemak for the past few years on a Corne #keyboard. Works fantastic, I tried a few things but reverted every change I tried.

I am using it primarily with modal editors. Now #Helix, used to be #Neovim. Works really well with both. Even though the layout is completely different, in modal editors I just reach for the right letter. The only exception are hjkl for movement, but I have arrow keys mapped on homerow in the same way. Not only I don't have trouble with my muscle memory in vim/hx but I also brought it to all other applications :D

If you're not deeply entrenched in #vim motions, may I recommend you try #helix editor? It's what I use for @silverbulletmd@fosstodon.org since last year, there's config in repo.

Although familiarity with usual vim still comes in handy on the school computer 😅
