    Mastodon users, moderators, and admins... is there a way to turn OFF the "from someone you might know" filter? We find it heavy handed and irritating; we've missed requests and questions because mastodon itself filtered them. We can't seem to find an option, but masto's account stuffs is kiind of... weird.

        @stefano On Androids with very little memory the standalone Littlefedi app is a problem because there is just not enough to go around. Motorola runs invisible processes on it leaving a couple of hundreds of MB free for programs.

        When an Android swaps it almost freezes, the keyboard disappears.

        Tusky is light and versatile.

        Luckily the feed resumed again in tusky.

          Periodic reminder that you’re allowed to curate your access to only see things that feel nourishing to your soul. You’re allowed to get your news info and hot takes from other places than here. Sharing is normalized on pretty much every other social media so it may feel like you just have to let it hit you here, but you can take steps.

          Filters generally work well. My doom filter is called The Horrors and has a looooong list of words. Just added “yandex” and “death cult”.

                I think I remember seeing a post somewhere on the about an server that lets each user choose whether they show a text (Mastodon-like) feed on their profile, or image tiles (Pixelfed-like). But I can't find it now, ¿maybe it was a planned feature?

                  Running a small or single user instance in the ? Get connected to other instances by a relay!

                  I just adjusted my relay instance which now also finally supports ! Of course, it also supports Pleroma, snac, Mastodon, littlefedi, starling and many other ones!

                  With relays, your own posted content gets distributed to all connected instances, as well you get the content all other instances. Currently, mostly tech related instances are connected, focusing on , , / , and many other things!
